Defender Lisandro Martinez has been praised by Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Christian Eriksen, the star of Denmark, showcased his exceptional talent last night by contributing two assists to a victory for the country.
The midfielder also helped Marcus Rashford score against Arsenal at the weekend by delivering a pass that split the defense.
Prior to his injury and before Bruno Fernandes passed him, Eriksen was United’s top assist producer the previous campaign.
Lisandro Martinez is cited by Christian Eriksen as United’s top passer.
Christian Eriksen was questioned about the team’s finest passer while speaking on the Manchester United website.
Instead of selecting Fernandes, the club captain and leader in assists from the previous season, he went for Lisandro Martinez, a defender.
“I would say a lot of the midfield and center-backs,” said Eriksen. I’ll say Licha or Case [Casemiro], and I’ll choose Licha.
Less long balls have become common in football as teams increasingly strive to build from the back and create goals. You need good passers for that, and we most surely have many of them.
Major factor in Martinez’s hiring by United
For his defensive skills, Lisandro Martinez was acquired by Manchester United. But that was only partially true.
Martinez was at the top of Erik ten Hag’s list of candidates because he is a good passer out of the back and is assured when in control of the ball.
One of the players Martinez frequently passes the ball to is Eriksen, who can observe firsthand exactly how talented the Argentine is.
We all knew Martinez was a good passer, but the fact that Eriksen named him the club’s top passer says a lot about how exceptional he really is.
