The 3G field at South Park Reigate came to fruition as Sparks hosted villains Hanworth Villa in a tie between ninth and tenth places.
The Sparks may still be getting used to the new ground – they have lost as many home games as they have won – but after a point from their last two matches, they hope to get back to winning ways and – perhaps – climbed to sixth place.
The Villains are in good form and will prove to be formidable opponents – they have lost just one of their last nine matches and have lost just once away from home this season.
Last season, the Villains took six points away from the Sparks, so the local faithful will think it’s time for revenge.
Thatcham Town hope to continue their five-goal tally against Binfield this weekend with a few more when they host Ascot United, as fourteenth take on sixteenth.
Both teams have failed to find any consistency this season, although the Kingfishers appear to have improved their form with two wins in their last three matches, while Yellas have lost four of their last five matches.
