A report commissioned by the EFL Trust has revealed that the work carried out by the Swansea City AFC Foundation has a social value of more than £16m in our city and local communities.
In recent years, the concept of “social value” has emerged as a way to quantify the relative importance that people give to the changes they experience in their lives.
It also makes it possible to measure – in financial terms – the positive value that charities create for the economy, society and local communities.
The EFL Trust commissioned industry experts, Substance, to measure the impact of clubs in communities.
The report confirms that the Fund created a social impact of £16.
4m in the 2019-2020 project year, meaning that for every £1 invested in the Fund, it created social value of £18 million.
£.92.
The findings are also included in the Foundation’s separate report for the 2021-2022 project year and demonstrate the significant and significant impact that the Foundation’s work has had in the South West Wales region and beyond more between September 2021 and August 2022.
The number of people affected by the Foundation’s initiatives and programs is growing across the board.
In 4,140 sessions, a total of more than 85,000 people attended, and some attended more than one Foundation event.
The Foundation is also delighted to work with a large number of participants with disabilities (7.
3%) and ethnic minorities (8.1%).

, so we have to thank our key partners and stakeholders.
“As we celebrate our impact in 2021-2022, we know we need to do more going forward , in particular supporting people’s mental health, wellbeing and physical health, promoting youth employment development and reducing anti-social behavior.
