Liverpool advanced to the fourth round of the League Cup on Wednesday night with yet another 3-1 victory, this time over Leicester City.
After Kasey McAteer’s third-minute goal put the Championship leaders up, the Reds fought back through Cody Gakpo just after halftime before Dominik Szoboszlai scored one of the season’s first goals on the clock.
Diogo Jota successfully closed out the contest with a back heel in the dying moments, but Liverpool was drawn away to Bournemouth in the fourth round later that evening.
