Unsurprisingly, Liverpool’s starting lineup for today’s Premier League match against West Ham features many changes from the team’s victory over LASK on Thursday.
Eight changes were made from Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup in Austria from the win over Wolves last weekend, and several regular starters are back in the lineup for David Moyes’ team’s visit to Anfield this afternoon. There were also eight changes from the meeting in Linz.
Just three days ago, the Irons were also competing in the Europa League, but they were playing at home rather than having to fly back from continental Europe.
After Caoimhin Kelleher started the Europa League match in Austria, Alisson takes over in goal. Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, and Andy Robertson are all back in front of him, while Virgil van Dijk is making his first domestic start since being sent off at Newcastle last month.
Curtis Jones, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai all re-enter the lineup as Klopp switches back to the midfield three that he used against Wolves.
As they did against LASK, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz both start in attack, and Ben Doak is replaced on the right by Mo Salah.
