Hannah Hidalgo received a big stack of ACC hardware on Tuesday. The Notre Dame women’s basketball star is the 2025 ACC Women’s Basketball Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. The 5-6 sophomore is just the second Notre Dame player to ever win the award and the first to do it since Jewell Loyd won it in the 2014-2015 season.

Hidalgo ranks second in the ACC and third in the nation with 24.2 ppg. Florida State guard Ta’Niya Latson, the runner-up for the Player of the Year award, leads the nation with 25.4 ppg. Hidalgo has scored at least 20 points 21 times this season and has scored 30 points or better four times. She also leads the ACC and is No. 4 nationally with 3.7 steals per game to win the Defensive Player of the Year award for the second time.
