The Los Angeles Lakers will most likely have to fight their way out of the Play-In Tournament later this month.
They are currently the ninth seed in the West and there is a good chance that is where they will remain when the postseason starts.
Some fans are nervous about this but LeBron James isn’t bothered by his team’s seeding.
Speaking with Dave McMenamin, James opened up about his thoughts on his team’s ranking.
“Wherever we fall is where we fall and wherever we got to go, if we have to go on the road, that’s fine. That’s fine. That’s just what it came down to,” James said.
LeBron James isn’t spending much worrying about seeding, believing the Lakers need to keep focusing on the game ahead of them: “Wherever we fall is where we fall and wherever we got to go, if we have to go on the road, that’s fine. That’s fine. That’s just what it came down to”

James is going to enter any game eager to give it 100%, no matter who the opponent is or how his team is ranked.
This is a smart approach and it worked out quite well for the Lakers last season.
The team was in a similar situation in 2022-23: after months of lackluster games, they got hot at the end of the season.
They won in the Play-In and then surprised many when they took down the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors, paving the way for their appearance in the Western Conference Finals.
James has so much postseason experience that he’s not too concerned with the seeding for his Lakers.
He thinks that his team can handle any competition and is going to focus on winning.
The opening round of the playoffs might be incredibly challenging for the Lakers and they could face the Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, or Denver Nuggets.
But before they can get that far, they have to finish the regular season and have a good run in the Play-In.
