Jake Browning won’t play quarterback for the Bengals this season if everything goes according to plan, but they do want him available in case of necessity.
They made arrangements so that he will play for them on Wednesday. The organization declared that they have submitted exclusive rights free agent contracts to Browning and long snapper Cal Adomitis.
The tender guarantees that both players will be present when the team resumes work because they will not be allowed to communicate with other clubs.
Following Joe Burrow’s season-ending injury to his right wrist, Browning assumed the starting role for the Bengals. Despite starting seven games, he was 171-of-243 for 1,936 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
“He did enter and show great growth.”and give us the chance to win, which is what you want, particularly when you’re using your backup quarterback,” Duke Tobin, the director of player personnel for the Bengals, stated this week in Indianapolis. You want someone who can step in and give you the chance to win, and he went above and above. We were particularly impressed with the way he approached his leadership and job when it came to him being the one. We were quite impressed with a lot of the things he accomplished, and it was clear he had experience in that capacity and felt at ease there. We intend for him to stay with us in order to keep him. Indeed.
