Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Chicago was informed on Saturday that Justin Fields was dealt by the Bears to the Steelers. According to Adam Schefter, the Bears got a sixth-round pick for 2025 that might move up to the fourth round in return.
A devoted Fields fan in the locker room, DJ Moore responded solemnly to the news on X.
Moore was very open about his affections for Fields back in December.
Moore remarked, “We want him here.” I’ve had an amazing year with him, so that should say a lot. At the end of the day, just leave what they do upstairs.
This past season, Moore had what was possibly the best season of his career in Chicago. In the end, he gained 1,364 yards, eight touchdowns, and a catch percentage of 70.6%. This past season, he undoubtedly ranked among the league’s top 10 receivers, establishing himself as the team’s best option.
Observing how the locker room responds to Fields’s exit and Williams’s unavoidable entrance will be fascinating. Fields’ strongest fan base in the city is found in the locker room. Regretfully, business is business, as Moore noted. Fields as well

For the most of the offseason, Fields has been the subject of trade rumors. The consensus is that the Bears will select Caleb Williams of USC with the first overall choice in the 2024 NFL Draft. Now that Fields has been dealt by the Bears, that will occur.
According to early rumors, the Bears might capitulate for Fields, as much as a second-round selection. Unfortunately, Fields’ worth was diminished by free agency, as other quarterbacks signed with teams that most closely aligned with him. One of those quarterbacks, Russell Wilson, signed a contract with the Steelers.
