On Sunday, Liverpool takes on Man United in the FA Cup quarterfinals, their last match before the international break. Manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to field a formidable squad.
The Reds have suffered a lot of injuries this season, but they haven’t let it stop them from competing in all competitions.
After experiencing ongoing fitness concerns the whole season, Liverpool seems to be getting better.
Despite their absences, the important trio of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, and Diogo Jota have some good news to share.
After the international break, Jones should be fit for Brighton’s visit on March 31. Alexander-Arnold and Jota, however, might be available for the Premier League match at Old Trafford.
Here is the latest on who is fit to face the Red Devils:
Ryan Gravenberch (ankle) – available
Ibrahima Konate (muscle) – doubt
Curtis Jones (ankle) – out
Trent Alexander-Arnold (knee) – out
Diogo Jota (knee) – out
Alisson (hamstring) – out
Stefan Bajcetic (calf) – out
Thiago (hamstring) – out
Ben Doak (MCL) – out
Joel Matip (ACL) – out
While Liverpool are still without many influential figures, there are now enough available players for Klopp to pick a formidable starting XI at Old Trafford.
Ibrahima Konate is likely to miss out with a hamstring injury, but Ryan Gravenberch is back after recovering from an ankle problem suffered in the Carabao Cup final.
Joel Matip, Thiago and Ben Doak are all potentially out for the rest of the season, but Stefan Bajcetic is back in light training, with Klopp saying:
“Stefan is pretty much now in his pre-season to make him physically ready so, in the moment, if he feels something it’s not injuries but intensity.
“He is a young lad, so we have to make sure that we don’t use him before he is then really ready.”
Alisson still looks likely to be out for a significant period, too, given the lack of an update on him.
