The Pittsburgh Steelers will attempt to upset the Buffalo Bills without their finest defensive player. History says it will be tough, if not impossible.
Outside linebacker T.J. Watt will miss Monday’s AFC wild card game against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. He suffered an ankle injury last weekend during the Steelers’ regular-season finale victory against the Baltimore Ravens, which helped Pittsburgh advance to the playoffs.
The Bills (11-6) are 9 1/2 point favorites over the Steelers (10-7).
Watt led the NFL with 19 sacks during the regular season. He was also named a first-team All-Pro for the fourth time in five seasons and to the Pro Bowl for the sixth straight year.
Furthermore,Watt was selected as the Steelers’ MVP for the fourth time.In previous seasons, losing Watt proved nearly hard to overcome. Throughout his seven-year career, he has missed 11 games due to injury. The Steelers have a dreadful 1-10 record in those contests.
