Brock Purdy took his time returning to social media after losing the Super Bowl last month, but he finally spoke up. He did it via a social media post using snap shots from the game versus the Chiefs. Purdy and his teammates may rest easy knowing they could have won the game, as the 49ers put up a good fight. They were up by ten points for much of the game, until Patrick Mahomes came in to turn things around. These types of setbacks are the most effective at teaching athletes how to deal with adversity. This is nothing out of the ordinary for Purdy. Here’s what he wrote: “We won and lost together.”
Now that the season has concluded, all NFL players are enjoying their time off until the new preseason begins. Brock Purdy did not sustain any significant injuries this time, so he should be able to return in due time. When pre-season training begins, he will most likely return with his head held high, eager to begin his third season in the league. The competition among quarterbacks will be tough, especially since several players who were injured last season will eventually return. It will not be easy, but if Purdy can replicate his first two seasons, we may have a generational player on our hands.
