CHIEFS TEST AT THE SUPER BOWL ON FEB. 11 Native American organizations have long protested against the Washington Commanders franchise, and now the Kansas City Chiefs are joining them.
“Not In Our Honor,” a Kansas City-based Native American organization, will be demonstrating against the Chiefs moniker during Sunday’s Super Bowl.
In the Super Bowl, the Chiefs take on the 49ers from San Francisco. The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET.
BIENIEMY ANNOUNCES NEXT STEP ON FEB 10 Eric Bieniemy, a former Washington Commander, is not employed by an NFL team at this time and might not be until the 2024 season.
According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Bieniemy has two options: he could take 2024 off and establish himself as a strong contender for the 2025 season, or he could go back to the Chiefs, where he was an offensive coordinator from 2013 to 22 and won two Super Bowls.
The news that Bieniemy will not be going back to Washington when Dan Quinn was hired was made public earlier this week. Kliff Kingsbury will be his successor.

Ben Standig of The Athletic reports that Larry Izzo will be joining the squad as special teams coordinator.
Izzo, 49, coached special teams for the Houston Texans (2016–17), Seattle Seahawks (2018–23), and New York Giants (2011–15). He now goes to the nation’s capital to join Dan Quinn.
