49ers ,Incredibly lucky punter wins £385k from insane 14-fold accumulator

The bet was placed in the United States, with the man – named Travis – banking on 14 different players to score in the NFL over the most recent gameweek.
Travis placed $5 (£4) on the outcome, which included the likes of DK Metcalf, Javonte Williams and Calvin Ridley all scoring a touchdown during their respective matches.
And a total of 13 of those outcomes had come in before the San Francisco 49ers took on Baltimore Ravens – on Christmas Day, no less.
The final part of the betslip required 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey to score a touchdown in order for the punt to land.
McCaffrey had scored 13 touchdowns before the NFL clash got underway, but that was no guarantee to Travis.
And the nervous punter had to watch on as the running back failed to secure a TD during the first quarter.
Fortunately, though, he didn’t have to wait too much longer, with McCaffrey delivering the moment Travis dreamed of during the early exchanges of the second quarter.
The 27-year-old, who has played in San Francisco for the past two seasons, ran nine yards to score a TD – much to the delight of one American punter.
You can see Travis’s reaction to the TD below.
While he initially lifted his arms in the air in delight, there was an understandable moment in which he was completely speechless as the realisation that he had pulled off a remarkable win set in.
And, joined by two of his friends, Travis anxiously waited for the replay to confirm that McCaffrey had, in fact, scored a legal touchdown.
At ridiculous odds of over 97,875/1, one of the biggest wins of the year was confirmed – and
One punter has raked in an incredible six-figure sum after striking gold with a 25-fold football accumulator.
Betting with William Hill last Saturday, a fan from Sheffield placed £80 on a variety of markets across European football, including bets on La Liga and the Premier League.
They marked the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City to beat Everton and Brighton respectively as well as one to six goals occurring in Real Madrid’s match against Sevilla, which ultimately ended as a 1-1 draw.
Those three results came in for the lucky fan, alongside another 22, which led to a payout of some £106,159.40.
A William Hill spokesperson said: “Whether it was luck, judgement or a combination of the two, whenever a 25-fold accumulator comes off it’s an amazing achievement and this is definitely one of the most impressive wins we will see all season.
“There were certainly some interesting selections within the accumulator, but take nothing away from them and the £106,159.40 they are taking home is richly deserved.”
It’s an extreme rarity, but at times accumulators can lead to life-changing sums of money. In 1996 former joiner Darren Yates placed his last £62 on legendary jockey Frankie Dettori to ride seven winners at Ascot.
Against all odds, the Italian came through big time and secured a £550,000 payout for the punter.
Yates used his winnings to build a property and development empire, which he later sold for a staggering £20million.
In a recent interview, via the Daily Star, he explained: “I went home and just burst out crying.
“I told my wife Annaley, ‘I’ve done it, darling. We’ve hit the big one’.
“She started crying. We sat there hugging each other for about an hour and we just couldn’t stop crying. That

The person involved placed a £50 stake on 13 games from Saturday’s fixture list, including matches across the Premier League and Championship.
They backed Tottenham, Everton, Chelsea and Fulham to win against Luton Town, Bournemouth, Burnley and Sheffield United respectively.
Then in the Championship, he touted Middlesbrough to win in their away clash to Sunderland, while Blackburn, Leeds, Ipswich and Leicester recorded victories in their games.
Finally, all four draws played out, including Cardiff vs Watford, Coventry vs Norwich, Millwall vs Hull and Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom confirmed the winning bet in a post on Twitter.
“It’s been a memorable day for one Betfair punter who has taken us to the absolute cleaners with a game changing 13-fold, winning an incredible £264,000,” he said.
“Hats off to the punter who not only predicted a number of wins, but also four draws in matches across the Premier League and Championship.
“An 88th minute equaliser for Coventry against Norwich really rubbed the salt in our wounds, but that’s football, and from everyone at Betfair we have to wish them a huge congratulations!
“It’s been a great day for Betfair punters in general, with our SuperBoost of Son Heung-min to have one or more shots on target at evens landing
On the other end of the luck spectrum, a very unfortunate punter missed out on £9,510 last month after he placed a bet on Luis Diaz to score for Liverpool in their Premier League clash against Spurs.
Twitter user @RyanHall_10 placed a £10 bet builder on the Spurs vs Liverpool game that included a Luis Diaz ‘anytime’ goal.
Diaz’s goal was wrongly called as offside with PGMOL – the body responsible for referees in the Premier League – admitting their decision to disallow his goal was incorrect.
Hall, who placed the eight-fold bet featuring Cody Gakpo, Son Heung-min and Yves Bissouma, tagged Sky Sports and Bet365 in a tweet, writing: “Surely someone needs to pay me out for this!?”
“It would have changed my life,” the 29-year-old said when asked about the sum. “Me and my girlfriend are looking at buying a house at the minute and £10,000 would’ve helped us out so much. It’s gutting that we’ve been let down by human error.”
Hall added: “I’m not sure it’s Bet365’s fault because they didn’t make the decision, but obviously someone is responsible for it and they should probably pay up to be honest.

Twitter user @lucajoe0 placed £20 on 14 games from this month’s international fixture list.
A total of 13 of those 14 results came out, including wins for Norway, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy, who secured a 4-0 win over Malta in their Group C clash on October 14.
He also correctly predicted wins for Georgia, Romania and Turkey after they all played on October 15, while Portugal and the Republic of Ireland earned victories on Monday.
But 24 hours later, on the evening of October 17, his hopes of winning £3,056.28 were crushed at the final hurdle, when Golinucci equalised for San Marino in their Group H qualifier with Denmark.

As you can see from the screenshots below, @lucajoe0 correctly predicted a victory for Denmark, who went on to beat Fabrizio Costantini’s side thanks to Yussuf Poulsen.
But he didn’t think both teams would score in Tuesday night’s game in Serravalle.
Luca posted a video of his betting slip alongside the caption: “I am cursed.”
Here’s how social media reacted to his unfortunate luck.
One said: “Betting against San Marino to score and they actually do has got to be torture,” while another commented: “San Marino score their first goal in over a year I’d spew.”
A third wrote: “I’d never bet again after that,” while a fourth added: “That’s brutal.”
In other news, Denmark and Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund says he was ‘targeted’ by San Marino players during their Euro 2024 qualifier win.
Speaking after the game, the 20-year-old said: “They targeted me today, as you can see at the end. I understand Italian and I could hear them saying that they had the idea to crush me.”
He added: “You can see from the images that he only had one idea in mind. A yellow card is a joke.”
Hojlund, who spent a season at Serie A side Atalanta before joining United this summer, also claimed that he could understood the San Marino players were saying as they were
