Jake Browning made the worst mistake his resignation immediately….
Jake Browning inspired the Cincinnati Bengals to a thrilling 27-24 victory over the Minnesota Vikings and his performance was so good he was picked for a random drug test after the game.
The 27-year-old turned up in the nick of time for the Bengals and tied the game at 24-24 with 39 seconds on the clock before playing a key role in their overtime win by supplying Tyler Boyd on a 44-yard play.
The Bengals had entered the last quarter 17-3 down and his performance was so good that it even caught the attention of the league.
“This is Joe, DCO on behalf of the NFL,” the text, posted on Instagram, read. “You’re on my list for a urine steroid test tomorrow.”
In all seriousness, the stand-in quarterback was summoned as part of random testing which is thought to include 10 players per week in a bid to ensure the sport remains clean of performance enhancing substances.
