The 2024 season was a rough one for Kirk Cousins.
After leaving the Minnesota Vikings, the Atlanta Falcons gave him $90 million in guaranteed money for him to be their franchise guy.
Then they drafted Michael Penix Jr, who would put Cousins out of a job by the end of the year. With the Las Vegas Raiders in quarterback purgatory, it would make a ton of sense for Cousins to finish out his career there.
This is a PREDICTION, not a REPORT
LEAVING THE ATLANTA FALCONS
It’s expected that the Falcons will officially move on from Cousins this off-season. According to ESPN, this move is “expected to be finalized before his $10 million roster bonus is due March 17.” Assuming that happens, Cousins will be able to control his own destiny.
The market won’t be extremely high for Cousins as he’s a 36-year-old quarterback hindered by his Achilles injury. With that said, with how bad the 2025 quarterback class is, there’s almost a guarantee that Cousins will become a starter somewhere.
