Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy announced on Monday that four-time Pro Bowler, Tyron Smith, has made significant progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury. Smith, who has been sidelined since the start of training camp, is now eyeing a possible return to the field in Week 3.
Tyron has progressed well,” McCarthy said. “He’s getting closer and closer. We’re excited about where he is.”
Smith’s return would be a huge boost to the Cowboys’ offensive line, which has struggled in his absence. The team has allowed six sacks in the first two games, and quarterback Dak Prescott has been under pressure consistently.
