It looks like wide receiver Sterling Shepard of the Giants may be nearing the end of his NFL career.
There was no assurance that Shepard would return to the squad this year after he tore his Achilles late in the 2021 season and suffered an ACL tear in Week Three of 2022. Shepard has not reverted to the type of role he played earlier in his career with the NFC club, but the Giants were enough happy with his rehabilitation work to bring him back this season.
He has made 12 appearances without recording more than 26 snaps in any of them, and in two of those games, he dressed but did not take the field. Shepard stated on Thursday that his main goal is to “enjoy my time with my
boys” as his eighth season draws to a conclusion and discussed the prospect of quitting the game at that point.
According to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, Shepard stated, “It’s tough man, it’s not the ideal situation for me at this point in my career.” “You just have to look for the good in everything, and that’s what I try to do every day,” the speaker said. To be here now, I’ve had to overcome a lot. At least I can claim I ended things on my own terms if I do decide to end things.
