The midfielder is one of fifteen Milan players called up for international duty; the Netherlands will play Scotland in a friendly on Friday in Amsterdam and Germany in another friendly on Tuesday in Frankfurt.
While on overseas duty, Reijnders spoke with RTL Nieuws and started off by discussing the notion of placing his newborn son Xavién’s name on his boots.
“No, that needs to be completed still. What a lovely little man he is. Fortunately, FaceTime exists. Thus, I am able to see him.
Reijnders travels through breathtaking scenery on his way from his Milanese residence to the well-known Milanello training center, which is framed by mountains.
However, the images of Rijkaard, Gullit, and Van Basten on theReijnders was questioned about what it means to play with Olivier Giroud, a player who has nearly achieved everything imaginable, including recognition on the international stage.
“I have good relations with him. We joke around with each other all the time. Despite my lack of Italian language skills, I get along with everyone. I feel like I’ve been accepted.
Reijnders, who wears shirt number 14, has started every league game for AC Milan since the opening round of the Serie A and has participated in 27 of the 29 games.
“I don’t think the title is still feasible. In the Europa League, nevertheless, we are still in second place.
After making six appearances for his country, the former AZ Alkmaar star persuaded Ronald Koeman, and he now hopes to establish a position next to Frenkie de Jong with an eye toward this summer’s Euros.
“I concentrate on that role as well for the Dutch team. I have only played one half of my six international matches with Frenkie, and he is currently out with an injury. Still, I believe we know what needs to be done. For that, we don’t need to play together all the time.
There will be competition for that position from Teun Koopmeiners, Marten de Roon, Jerdy Schouten, Quinten Timber, Joey Veerman, and Mats Wieffer.
