After failing to earn a starting position in Gary O’Neil’s first squad, Silva, 21, spent time on loan at PSV and Anderlecht after moving to Molineux from Porto for £35 million three years ago.
“I am very happy, when I spoke to people about Glasgow and about Rangers, everyone told me good things about the club and the history,” Silva stated.
“I already know the friendly club, the setting, and the stadium from my one Europa League game with Porto, so everything is ideal. I’m thrilled to be here and am eager to get started with the team’s training.”
After Kemar Roofe and Danilo suffered injuries, Clement, who was looking to expand his striking options, stated: “I am thrilled we were able to sign Fabio; he is a highly-rated striker and it is fantastic to have him joining our squad for the remainder of the season.”
“He is a young player who already has some great experience in his career in both England and in Europe, and I am looking forward to working with him moving forward.”
Silva and the team are connected because Silva was formerly signed by new Gers director of football Nils Koppen when playing on loan for PSV Eindhoven.
The striker, who reportedly visited Glasgow prior to his transfer, was also a target for Celtic.
Sporting director at Wolves Matt Hobbs continued, saying: “This is an easy one: Fabio needs to play. This is a chance for him to go out and score goals, and we’ll look at the future in the summer. He’s not getting enough opportunities here.
A large club is competing in Europe, where they recently enjoyed success in a particular sport. Fabio deserves credit for making this bold decision since there was a lot of interest. He could have stayed in his comfort zone, perhaps with less competitive football or nicer weather than Scotland, but he chose to push himself. Everyone is pleased as it demonstrated a clear grasp of his own demands.
