Considering that Steve Kerr, Draymond Green, and Stephen Curry are all contracted through the 2025–2026 season, will Klay Thompson be the next key member of the Warriors to sign a new contract during the summer of free agency?
Thompson is one of the best free agents available this summer. He was a five-time All-Star before missing two and a half seasons due to ruptured ACL and Achilles.
HoopsHype asked eight NBA executives to provide their free agent projections for Thompson in light of this. Five executives estimated that Thompson would make $20–25 million a year, whereas three executives thought he would make $18–20 million. Four executives thought Golden State would try to get Thompson to sign a two-year contract with fellow “Splash Brother” Curry. In contrast, Green has a player option.
