Brock Bowers, a tight end from Georgia, has a great chance of winning the 2024 NFL Draft as the best overall athlete. He has the potential to be a game changer wherever he ends up.
The issue is that tight ends are difficult positions to choose highly in the draft from a value standpoint, and Bowers’s recent injury issues could make some teams doubt if he is worth a top-15 to top-20 pick.
Indeed, he is talented, but this past season he missed three games for UGA due to a high-ankle sprain that occurred in 2023. Due to a hamstring injury, Bowers was unable to participate in Georgia’s recent pro day or the 2024 NFL Combine.
But the gifted tight end doesn’t appear to be worried. Actually, he declared to the media not so long ago that his most recent injury was minor.
A minor hamstring tweak, nothing to worry about. According to On3, Bowers stated, “I just wanted to give it a little extra time, just give it some time and just be able to be at my best when I’m out here performing.”
Despite missing the UGA pro day and the combine, Bowers disclosed that he will schedule a private workout for NFL teams in around one month.
“A key component of this procedure is speed. I would like to run quickly. Bowers explained why he’s taking it slow with the hamstring injury by saying, “That’s part of it.”
He still has time to show off his skills in shorts and a t-shirt because the NFL Draft begins on April 25.
