At the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen defeated Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin to continue Red Bull’s impressive start to the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Verstappen, who started his pursuit of a record-breaking fourth drivers’ championship with a commanding win in Bahrain last week, ended nearly 0.2 seconds ahead of Alonso at the Jeddah street track.
Sergio Perez, who beat team-mate Verstappen to victory in Saudi Arabia last year, also showed solid pace to take third as Red Bull threatened to continue the form that saw them win 21 of 22 races in 2023.
