Matty-Cash-Bruno-Fernandes
Aston Villa’s growth since the appointment of Unai Emery has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Despite their current mini-injury crisis, Villa’s results have shown no indications of deterioration, with the club winning their previous three games.
From now until the conclusion of the season, the players will have to balance European action with Premier League commitments, with a top-four finish perhaps being the most important.
However, Villa have a player in the pipeline who has already competed in the Champions League this season and might replace Matty Cash in the near future.
Polish right back Cash has been a key player for Villa this season, playing both as a right-back and as a forward right midfielder.
This season, the 26-year-old has appeared in 24 Premier League games and 36 total in all competitions. To be fair to Cash, he has already shown substantial offensive progress in the last year, contributing six goals while only scoring one last season.
However, FBref’s 23/24 Premier League scouting report indicates that Cash is operating at an incredibly mediocre level when compared to his positional contemporaries in the league.
