Christian Pulisic, a former Chelsea player, has taken a subtle dig at his previous club after moving on in the summer. The American international arrived from Borussia Dortmund for £57.6 million in January 2019.
He played the rest of the season on loan with the German side before joining Chelsea the following summer. Despite playing 145 games and scoring 26 goals for Chelsea, his tenure there did not go as expected.
He found himself primarily reduced to appearances from the bench last season. The USA international moved to AC Milan in the summer for £18.9 million.
Just before leaving the club, the USMNT player revealed that his final years at Chelsea had not gone as expected.
“It’s been a tough season for me personally and for our team at club level,” he added. “I thought it was a great couple years and the last couple years just haven’t gone at all how I’ve planned them to be.”
This season, Pulisic has been a consistent starter for AC Milan. In his 35 games across all competitions, he has eight goals and seven assists.
