A New Year’s Eve defeat to the Chiefs meant the Bengals entered 2024 on a sour note after being eliminated from playoff contention in the NFL.

Needing a victory to keep their faint hopes alive, Cincinnati’s season was all but ended when Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City to a 25-17 win at Arrowhead.

The loss came as a huge blow to Jake Browning, who would have played a key part in the postseason with starting quarterback Joe Burrow out injured.

However, the following weekend Browning was reminded very publicly that there is a silver lining to his campaign drawing to an early close.
