Tigers confirm ugly divorce as Nofoaluma shown door after explosive Benji accusations
The Wests Tigers have confirmed they’ve released veteran winger David Nofoaluma from the final two years of his contract.
Rookie coach Benji Marshall faced an early baptism of fire but the out-of-favour Nofoaluma has accepted the club’s offer to buy out his contract for $300,000.
It looked like the 30-year-old’s days at the club were numbered and he was reportedly summoned to front the team’s new-look board on Wednesday.
The Tigers then released a statement on Tuesday night which said the parties had agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent, effective immediately.
