Stutsman announced his decision by posting a video to X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, narrated by Brian Bosworth. The video ends with a black screen and white letters reading “SEC, see you soon” with Stutsman’s signature below it.
Stutsman was also named the Sooners’ lone Associated Press All-American after being selected to the third team on Monday. He led OU in tackles for the second consecutive season with 99 and tallied 16 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception.
Head coach Brent Venables responded to Stutsman’s announcement with a post of his own on X, stating, “The FINISH is ALWAYS Better than the BEGINNING.”
