Brock Bowers Wins John Mackey Award For Second Straight Season
Tight ends in college football are one of the biggest mismatches you can have for your offense. Kyle Pitts revolutionized the game of college football. But, one player who followed in his footsteps for the rival school of Pitts is Brock Bowers.
The ESPN College Football Awards show is taking place tonight, and the Georgia Bulldogs have already been well represented. Wide receiver Ladd McConkey has already won an award, and now Brock Bowers has won the John Mackey Award. An award was given to the nation’s best tight end. This is the second straight year in which he has taken the award home.

Dealing with an ankle injury that sidelined him for a portion of the season, the tight end still led the Bulldogs in receiving yards, hauling in 714 yards on 56 catches for six touchdowns.
Bowers has played in 40 games in his three-year career so far, with 2,538 yards on 175 catches for 26 total touchdowns while also picking up 193 rushing and 5 touchdowns.
