On Saturday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks are hosting the Atlanta Hawks in Wisconsin.

During the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo made NBA history by moving up on the all-time scoring list.

Antetokounmpo came into the evening with 16,817 career points, and he has now moved ahead of Elton Brand (16,827) for 101st on the list.

Following Brand, the next player for him to pass will be Hall of Famer Bob Cousy (16,468).

Antetokounmpo entered the matchup with averages of 29.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks per contest while shooting 60.1% from the field and 23.5% from the three-point range in 18 games.

The Bucks are 13-6 in their first 19 games, which has them as the third seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 8-2 over their previous ten games and most recently lost to the Chicago Bulls by a score of 120-113 in overtime.

In 39 minutes of playing time, Antetokounmpo had 26 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, two steals and five blocks while shooting 11/17 from the field.

Antetokounmpo is in his 11th season in the NBA (all with the Bucks) and has led the franchise to the playoffs in each of the previous seven seasons.

In 2021, the Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals to win the title.

Over 737 regular season games, Antetokounmpo has career averages of 22.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 53.9% from the field and 28.6% from the three-point range.
