West Ham United finally sign €30m rated Ukraine sensation today ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City see more……
West Ham want to sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, with the player likely to be on the move next year, according to 90min.
The publication reported on its website on Thursday (23 November) that several European clubs are also interested, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
West Ham’s Premier League rivals Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United are also eyeing the 21-year-old, 90min added.
“Shakhtar Donetsk midfield starlet Georgiy Sudakov is emerging as a player of interest to a host of leading clubs in the Premier League and across Europe, 90min understands.
“Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle United and West Ham United have all watched him closely in recent months and it is believed they were all in Leverkusen on Monday to see him feature for Ukraine against Italy.
“Sudakov’s display for both Shakthar and Ukraine have seen him become one of the most talked about young talents in Europe and it is widely expected he will be on the move next year.”
A product of the Shakhtar Donetsk youth academy, Sudakov has enjoyed a rapid rise in recent times. The club will be delighted with his quick development, as will everyone associated with the Ukraine national team, who narrowly missed out on automatic Euro 2024 qualification following their goalless draw with Italy.
At the same time, however, it seems that Shakhtar may be helpless when it comes to trying to keep the young midfielder at the club.
Sudakov played the entire 90 minutes against the Italians, with his place in the national team coming thanks to a very impressive season at club level.
The 21-year-old has made 14 appearances in all competitions this season for Shakhtar, netting three goals along the way.
Two of those goals have come in the league, with one coming against Barcelona in the Champions League, which is undoubtedly one of the reasons that the Spanish giants are seemingly chasing his signature.
