Michigan moved to 9-0 after defeating Purdue 41-13 on Saturday night. The Wolverines were once again dominant, even though it wasn’t all pretty. The Michigan run game struggled to get anything going Blake Corum salvaged it with three scores. J.J. McCarthy threw for 335 yards, but was off target at times. While there were some blips, the Michigan defense was stout and got the job done.
The Wolverines entered the game ranked third in the CFP Rankings. While that’s the only ranking that matters, it’s still interesting to see what the voting media thinks of Michigan.
On Sunday afternoon, the newest Top 25 Poll was revealed and the Wolverines remain second. Michigan received nine first-place votes behind the leader, Georgia. Ohio State is behind Michigan at No. 3 and FSU slots in at fourth. Michigan will get a true test next Saturday. The Wolverines hit the road to take on Penn State.
