The 49ers may have hit rock bottom.
They’ve lost three in a row and now it’s their bye week.
So they have time to catch their breath and figure out what’s not working and fix it.
They also have time to get healthy and integrate new players into the scheme.
This is the best news for the 49ers.
They need serious reinforcements to recover this season.
Here are the five returning reinforcements:
1.Chase Young Young was the No.
2 pick in the 2020 draft, and the 49ers got him for a late third-round pick because Washington didn’t want he.
more despite having five sacks this season.
This made him the 49ers’ sack leader before minimizing them.
He is a huge upgrade over Clelin Ferrell and Drake Jackson, and would make the 49ers pass rush much better.
2.Trent Williams Williams has missed the last two games with a sprained ankle and the 49ers can’t do anything well without him, because he’s the best pass protector of them, plus he is their spearhead in the run game.
It all depends on him.
And he’ll be back for the 49ers’ next game, which will be in Jacksonville against the Jaguars.
3.Deebo Samuel Without Samuel, the 49ers offense looks simple.
That’s because Samuel is the main creator of Kyle Shanahan.
So when Samuel is on the field, the 49ers offense seems to be on point.
He is expected to return next week after missing most of three games with a shoulder injury.
4.Dre Greenlaw Greenlaw is the tone-setter and the hardest hitter on the 49ers defense — without him, they’re soft.
And the past few weeks, Greenlaw hasn’t been himself.
He’s been playing through an injured hamstring, and the entire defense has taken a hit as a result.
A fully healthy Greenlaw should create a more menacing defense.
5.Randy Gregory The 49ers traded him a few weeks ago and immediately threw him on the field without teaching him the ins and outs of their defensive scheme.
Currently, he has a whole week to study and research so that he can later become a part-time collaborator.
