Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has been training this week but manager Jurgen Klopp will allow the player to decide whether he wants to participate this weekend.
The Colombia international’s father remains missing after being kidnapped last week and despite rumors in South America that he could soon be freed, the 26-year-old has fallen on hard days in an easy to understand way.
“He trained two days ago, yesterday he had a training session and will be part of the squad (in training),” Klopp said ahead of Sunday’s trip to Luton.
We have to wait.
If he feels good, he will stay there and train with us.
His training session with us, you can see when he’s with the boys, he’s doing really well, he’s doing really well, but you can see he’s not sleeping much.
“We have to see how he is and we will go from there.
The news from Colombia gives us a little hope.
We’re waiting for some really good news, but that’s it.
“I can’t say what we will do because we are just waiting for a place to pick him up and go from there.
But it all depends on him, whether he is ready or not, and I will win ‘ don’t force anything.”
