Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp believes that the level that striker Darwin Nunez can reach is very scary.
The Uruguay international’s impressive goal in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth was his seventh of the season, having scored in his last three games.
Nunez has scored 15 goals in a difficult debut season, both individually and collectively for the team, following his ÂŁ64m move from Benfica.
The 24-year-old did not speak English when he joined the club, but that is growing and Klopp believes it will only improve.
“It’s completely different now.
The first year was difficult for him, then it was difficult for me because you see this incredible talent, this huge potential, but it is very difficult to develop it,” he said.
I am the manager who can help the player but I need contact to do that, it can speed up the process by talking a lot with the player.
