49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has scored a touchdown for the 17th time in a row.
Today against the Bengals, McCaffrey scored a touchdown from two yards out to tie the score at seven points.
McCaffrey is currently tied with Baltimore Colts player Lenny Moore for the most touchdowns scored in a row (17 games) between October 27, 1963, and December 13, 1964. (These records include postseason games; McCaffrey scored touchdowns in all three of the 49ers’ playoff games last season, while Moore’s streak stopped when he failed to score a touchdown in the Colts’ 1964 playoff loss.)
Against the Saints in Week 12 of the previous season, McCaffrey was last prevented from reaching the end zone.
