Oleksandr Zinchenko jokingly warns Mykhaylo Mudryk ahead of Chelsea v Arsenal
Oleksandr Zinchenko has cleverly advised Mykhaylo Mudryk not to score against Arsenal when Chelsea host the Gunners in the Premier League this Saturday lunchtime.
The Blues will host Arsenal in the hope of slowing down their quest for the Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta’s side finally beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side before the international break in October and will be brimming with confidence.
Mudryk returned to the club with full confidence as he scored the goal for the national team in a 3-1 win over Malta.
He also scored his first goal for Chelsea before the break and is sure to make a splash.
Mudryk’s recent return to form certainly guarantees him a starting place against the Gunners, but everything will depend on Mauricio Pochettino as the Argentine coach hopes to dampen his title hopes.
Arsenal’s enemies.
Given his past allegiance to Tottenham Hotspur, it’s safe to say that the Gunners are not his favorite team.
The Ukrainian striker looked strong throughout the match and is expected to play against Arsenal, where he will face national teammate Zinchenko.
Former Manchester City player jokingly warns Mudryk before the big London derby (h/t Mirror) and speaks to Ukrainian media after Euro 2024 qualifiers:
“I told him, ‘If you do or try to do that on Saturday, I will tear your ##### up.
But the most important thing for us is to get 3 points.
I’m very happy for him and for the national team.
Mykhaylo’s goal was important because it helped calm the game down a bit.
These light-hearted jokes are shared between players.
Friendship aside if Mudryk starts the match, he will be fully devoted to this important match.
He has regained his form at just the right time as he plans to disprove those who have doubted him since his move to Stamford Bridge.
Since Zinchenko plays as a left-back, he will not compete directly with his compatriot.
But we could see the duo clash, especially on a counter attack or if Mudryk switches sides.
What greater achievement is there than scoring the winning goal against a team that wanted you, especially when Arsenal were also interested in signing him?
Wiping the smirk off Zinchenko’s face would only make it lighter.
