Arsenal continue to be linked with options on the right flank to help deal with Bukayo Saka’s injury problem, including Leroy Sane and Pedro Neto.
Arsenal appear to be in the market for a right-winger in the January transfer window as they attempt to strengthen their squad for their upcoming Premier League title challenge.
The Gunners have relied heavily on the availability and quality of Bukayo Saka for several years now.
It’s no surprise that Hale Ender has become the superstar that he is, starting every game possible and often taking the field with some goal involvement.
However, there are growing concerns about his minutes and whether he is overworked.
At just 22 years old, Saka has played more than 14,000 minutes for the Gunners across all competitions in the first team.
Add to that the recent injuries that have caused concerns, after missing the most recent clash with Manchester City.
He sees a number of options that involve creating competition on the right flank to help rotate Saka more regularly and maintain high quality.
That said, here are three options that have been linked with Arsenal on the shortlist and what they could offer the team.
Pedro Neto
Over the next few years, Wolves star Pedro Neto is an option for the Gunners in the January transfer market.
At just 23 years old, the Portuguese winger still has a lot of untapped potential, which is starting to show in his most recent performances.
There may be a bit of concern in two areas, the first being cost, as Neto has become a key player for Wolves and could see them command a high fee – especially in a market like January .
The second concern is injury concerns, as the talisman is often out of action for long periods of time, but there is now hope that he has overcome that.
Leroy Sane
Another player said to be planning a move is Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane, who is also said to be a target for rivals Liverpool.
After impressing with Manchester City in the Premier League, a move to the Bundesliga established him as a superstar in his own right.
At 27 years old, the winger is now entering his prime and starting to show his ability on the field at Bayern.
There may be a slight concern about securing playing time compared to Saka – although he can play across the front three – as well as the possible price tag.
Ousmane Dembélé
According to Arsenal transfer rumors since his days at Borussia Dortmund, Ousmane Dembélé could be a long-term option to join the club.
The winger left Barcelona in the summer to join PSG, but claims have indicated that a move could be considered sooner than expected.
Of course, there are some caveats, one of which is his constant worry about the injuries that have plagued his career so far and delayed the promise he made.
There may be concerns about the price of the PSG deal or the wages themselves, then there is also the performance aspect to consider.
