Trent Alexander-Arnold might return from injury for Liverpool’s challenging away match against Tottenham on Saturday.
Since suffering a hamstring injury in the victory over Aston Villa almost four weeks ago, the right-back has been replaced by Joe Gomez. Jurgen Klopp would benefit much from it, but a start is improbable. The only other Reds player not present and out of the running is Thiago Alcantara.
Dominik Szoboszlai, who made a game-winning cameo against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup, will be back in the starting lineup after scoring his team’s second goal — a breath-taking long-range shot — as Liverpool overcame a 1-0 deficit to win 3-1. Diogo Jota scored as well, but he might sit on the sidelines in London.
After playing smaller parts in the Cup, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah should make up the front three. Salah was completely omitted off the roster.
Alisson, Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones, Salah, Nunez, and Diaz make up Liverpool’s expected starting lineup.
