Ibrahim Sangaré has joined Nottingham Forest from PSV Eindhoven, and the club is excited to make the announcement.
The Ivory Coast international midfielder, who has committed to the Reds on a five-year agreement, was a prize sought for by a number of clubs around the world.
Sangaré joins Trentside after playing a crucial part in PSV’s UEFA Champions League qualification for this season.
Last season, the controlling midfielder helped the Dutch team finish second in the Eredivisie with eight goals in 45 games across all competitions.
Sangaré’s significance for PSV hasn’t changed this year either; the 25-year-old scored twice this week to help Peter Bosz’s team advance to the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Sangaré, an Ivory Coast native, started his professional career with Toulouse in France, where he made 86 appearances before relocating to the Netherlands in 2020.
The Ivorian has 140 appearances for PSV in all competitions and has won three Johan Cruyff Shields and two KNVB Cups in his three years at Philips Stadion.
Sangaré, a crucial member of the Ivory Coast national team, has nine goals in 31 games since making his debut for his country at the age of 17
Sangaré will represent Trentside while donning the number 6 jersey.
